Case #4 AACD Direct Bonding
Composite resin restorations are used extensively for restoring fractured anterior teeth. These resins provide conservative yet highly aesthetic results utilizing free-hand bonding techniques.
The patient is a 41 year old female who presented with a substantial fracture to her upper left lateral. The fracture occurred while biting on a metal object.
The fractured tooth required restorative treatment and the patient also desired whiter teeth.
Conclusion:
A composite layering technique to match the existing aesthetics, was combined with finishing techniques to restore a natural surface. The utilization of free-handed direct restorative techniques provides a conservative treatment which blends with the beauty of the natural dentition.
